When was the last time you hiked for clean water? Help charity: water celebrate 5 years! via @juliaroy

juliaroy:

In five years, charity: water has completed over 4,000 projects that serve over 2 million people around the world with clean and safe drinking water.

This September is charity: water’s 5th birthday and if you help by donating to the September Campaign 100% of what you raise or give will help buy a new drilling rig fleet to provide clean water for 40,000 more people each year in Northern Ethiopia. Any amount that you donate will be match if they reach their $1.2 million goal for September.

Give the gift of water. Something so simple changes the lives of millions.

After all, what was adult life but one moment of weakness piled on top of another? Most people just fell in line like obedient little children, doing exactly what society expected of them at any given moment, all the while pretending that they’d actually made some sort of choice.

Reminded of this book today. I love it, and the film version is mad powerful.
